Ten years after the historical Bologna Declaration that structurally reshaped European higher education, another
Ministerial conference is planned in Leuven/Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium) on April 28th-29th, 2009.
The Czech Presidency has brokered agreement between the Member States and the Parliament on a proposal to
establish a European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP). Its aim is to boost the efficiency of European research in
the field of metrology by coordinating funding as well as capacities in science, development and organisation.

companies and EU authorities at the Prague Congress Centre. The topic of this flagship Presidency conference was to
strengthen the partnership between education institutions and employers.
