Sports Miroslava Kopicová, adopted the Conclusions on evaluation of the current framework for European cooperation in

Prague hosted the joint conference of the Czech Presidency and the European Commission entitled “Changing Research
Landscapes: 10 years of activities ‘Women and Science’” on 14 May 2009. Czech Minister of Education, Youth and Sports
Miroslava Kopicová used this opportunity to present an award for female scientists.

Under the chairmanship of the Czech presidency, the representatives of the EU Member States, EFTA/EEA and Western
Balkan countries gathered at a conference in Brussels on May 12th 2009 to discuss the ways to enhance scholarships
offered to the students from the Western Balkans. The meeting was held as part of the Czech presidency effort to
foster EU – Western Balkans relations at people-to-people level, in view of the integration of the whole region to
the EU.

On 3 and 4 May 2009 an informal meeting of Ministers for Education, Science and Research was chaired by Czech
Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Ondřej Liška. He invited his colleagues to an informal dinner at Troja Castle
in Prague where the Czech band Mako Mako provided the musical accompaniment.
