Besides public institutions of higher education, the Czech system comprises 2 state universities and more than 30 private institutions of higher education.
A. State Universities
Their educational activities are partly governed by the appropriate legal regulations applying to the field of defence and domestic affairs, respectively.
B. Private institutions of higher education:
The adoption of the Higher Education Act No. 111/1998, Coll. facilitated the establishment of private institutions of higher education. Information on the range of courses offered is available on their web-sites – see their complete list.
Prospective applicants are advised to address any enquiries relating to courses offered by private institutions of higher education, tuition fees etc. directly to the selected institution.
