Raison d´etre:

EUFORDIA will provide a discussion platform to the EU member states for assessment of national and European impact of their participation in the Framework Programmes with particular focus on the respective changes in competitiveness

Participants:

300, representatives of R&D departments of ministries, experts of national and international R&D foundations and programmes, analysts of R&D policies, national representatives in the CREST, members of the Programme Committees of the FP, National contact points for the FP, any other individual interested in evidence based R&D policy making

EUFORDIA Topics:

1. The role of R&D evaluation in building the ERA and strengthening competitiveness

-      State of Art of the Impact Assessment of R&D programmes: EU and EU-abroad experience with Impact Assessment of public financing of R&D&I

-      DG Research Expert group Report on the FP6 ex-post evaluation

2.  FP6 evaluation and impact assessment at EU and national level

-      DG INFSO ex-post evaluation of the FP6 IST programme

-      National studies: Spain (national FP6 impact assessment study), Sweden (enhancing Swedish competitiveness due to participation in the FP6), Czech Republic (bibliometric study on scientific communications resulting from Czech participation in FP6 projects)

-      Poster section for studies on national participation in the FPs, ex-ante, ex-post evaluation of national participation in the FPs and national FP impact studies

3. Principles and techniques for FP ex-post evaluation and impact assessment

- Theory and practice of R&D programmes evaluation, From evaluation to metaevaluation, Making FP evaluation more efficient, Framework Programme indicators for analysing country participation and impact assessment
