The kick-off conference launching the European Year 2009 will gather about 150 high-level experts from Europe, European Commission, enterprises, universities and cultural institutions. Its objective is to enable the exchange of ideas and good practices on innovative solutions and overlaps of the fields of education, science, culture and economy within and outside the EU and to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and capacity for sustainable growth through fostering a more innovation-friendly climate.
