MEYS financially supports the gifted youth and their teachers and educators through several grant programmes: National Grant Programmes for NGOs Supporting Children and Youth Work for 2011-2015; Support of Competitions and festivals in leisure-based education; “Excelence” programme for high schools. Every year hundreds of projects of schools and NGOs are financially supported.
The educational and financial conditions are regulated by decree no. 73/2005 Coll., on education of children, pupils and students with special educational needs and exceptionally gifted children, pupils and students. This decree sets specific conditions for identification and method of working with gifted pupils and the tasks of schools and pedagogical-psychological counselling centres.
