On December 7 and 8, 2021, the second webinar of the SeARcH ENGINE project (Strengthening Educational and AwaReness Campaign in Automatic Recognition for Higher Education Institutions – Engage-Inform-Implement) took place. The webinar for credential evaluators, admission officers and other professionals, as well as general public was primarily in the Czech language with several foreign guests presenting in English. The main goal of the webinar was to introduce the concept of the automatic recognition and share examples of good practice. Aside of that it served also to answer frequently asked questions.
Over 120 participants registered for the webinar, who had the opportunity to listen to expert lectures from Czech and foreign experts in the field of automatic recognition, participate in the discussion and obtain examples of good practice in the application of recognition of foreign education. The speakers were from Charles University (Prague), Italy, the Netherlands, the European Commission and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.
In the field of higher education, the Czech Republic considers the introduction of the concept of automatic recognition by 2025 essential for the development of the internationalization. In its Internationalization Strategy, the Czech Republic undertook to ensure automatic recognition through methodical and consultative support, which also included the coordination of the SeARcH ENGINE project.
